260 tonnes of chocolate stolen

260 tonnes of chocolate worth £4.5 million has been stolen.

An estimated 50 tonnes of Lindor chocolate has been found near Naples in Italy after 260 tonnes went missing in Milan in August, the Metro newspaper reports.

Although the products have been found it's unlikely Lindt will be able to resell them as it's unknown what condition they are now in.

The overall cost of the theft is equal to 8 million euros or £4.5 million, with the retrieved chocolates being worth 1.5million euros and £850,000.

Two individuals working for delivery companies have been arrested in connection with the robbery.
