A sex cult in Papua New Guinea has promised locals a good banana harvest if they make love outside.
Police in the area are searching for the leader of the religious group after a concerned villager from Yamina in Morobe walked for 12 hours to report the unusual and threatening behaviour.
The man told police the leader - identified as Thomas Peli - and his followers have been threatening people with violence and forcing them to have sex in public places for months.
The residents had been told their banana crops would increase each time they were intimate outside.
Peli is currently being hunted by police after he escaped into the bush.
