A British pensioner has decorated his mobility scooter as the Batmobile.

I feel like a bit of a celebrity. I know how the Beckhams must feel when I go out in my Batmobile. If it brings a smile to people's faces, then it's done the job.

Brian Vann spent weeks transforming his 8mph motor to look like the vehicle that comic character Batman drives around fictional Gotham City

The 74-year-old retired construction worker said: "People drive past in their cars and stop when they see me, get out, and ask for a photo.

"I feel like a bit of a celebrity. I know how the Beckhams must feel when I go out in my Batmobile. If it brings a smile to people's faces, then it's done the job."

He can be seen dressed up as Batman driving his mobility scooter around the sheltered housing complex where he lives in Evesham, Worcestershire, which he has nicknamed the "Batcave".
