Bee swarm

A US policeman was trapped in his car after being surrounded by 50,000 bees.

The insects had escaped from a crashed truck so Sheriff's deputy Brandon Jenkins was called the scene in Wake County, North Carolina, but unfortunately arrived after sunrise so the bees were awake.

They swarmed around his car and Jenkins was forced to shut himself in his car and wait for beekeeping experts to turn up.

As he waited, Jenkins was forced to kill a few bees that had got in the car before the beekeepers eventually managed to calm them down by using smoke.
