A Russian woman's fake breasts burst as the plane she was on landed in the US.

The 45 year old - known as Irena D - was hospitalized immediately after the silicon implants exploded due to the air pressure on board the plane.

The woman reportedly felt unwell throughout the flight from Moscow to California and was rushed to hospital on landing.

Medical experts - who initially struggled to ascertain what the problem was - believe the implants must have been damaged before the flight and burst mad-way through.

The flight per se could not damage the implants. Most likely, she already had problems with them before, and the implants burst because of the pressure differential on board the plane.
