Cash Gift Arrest

A drunk British man has been arrested for giving away £45,000.

The dishevelled man was taken into police custody at a Spanish airport after he started handing out the enormous sum in cash and travellers cheques at the Son Sant Joan Airport in Palma de Mallorca.

Police stepped in when they realised the man - who "looked like a tramp" and "had a disagreeable smell" " didn't realise what he was doing.

A statement read: "Having arrived at the airport terminal, he began handing out cash while laughing."

The 59-year-old man, known as James, had recently inherited the money.
