A Chinese man nicknamed the "human coral reef" has been cured by doctors.
Lin Tianzhuan was 13 when rough, irregular growths started to appear on his body and he started shutting himself away from human contact when people started shrieking at his appearance.
When he did venture outside, he said he was forced to hide the growths under blankets so people were less scared of him.
He may need radiotherapy for quite some time still but he has made very good progress.
However, after undergoing several operations at the specialist Fuzhou Dermatosis Prevention and Control Hospital over the past year, Lin only has a few discoloured patches of skin remaining.
Dr Liu Yinghong said: "He may need radiotherapy for quite some time still but he has made very good progress."
