A drugged-up US man called police after losing his car and son.

Dino Vicente left his six-year-old stepson locked in his vehicle for over nine hours while he made a drug deal.

After testing out his new narcotics, Vicente was so intoxicated he couldn't remember where he had parked the car.

After hours of searching for the child, he eventually telephoned police who managed to locate the vehicle.

The child was taken to hospital for mild hypothermia.
