An Austrian ambulance worker lost his finger when a patient ate it.
The fingerless paramedic - who is identified only as Christian F - had been called to deal with a "disoriented" man hanging around at a construction site in Vienna.
However, the treatment didn't go to plan and the ambulance worker was left in agony when he was attacked and his finger bitten off.
Medics were unable to recover the finger, because the attacker - who has been hospitalised - claimed he'd swallowed it.
