A German mayor has designated a town's ''more challenging'' parking spaces to male motorists.

''challenge political correctness''

Galllus Strobel unveiled a new parking plan for drivers in Triberg which revealed each spot in the town's main car park had been painted with a male or female symbol to show where people could park in order to ''challenge political correctness''.

The designated parking spaces were decided based on their difficulty rating because he claims men are ''better'' at maneuvering their motors into more ''challenging'' spots.

He told German newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung: ''Men are, as a rule, a little better at such challenges.

''Of course, there are also great women drivers! They are, of course, most welcome!''
