A grandmother in South Korea has hit the headlines after passing her driving test on the 960th attempt.
I wanted to get a driver's licence so I could take my grandchildren to the zoo.
Cha Sa-soon, 69, whose surname means 'vehicle' in Korean, has sat a vehicular examination three or four times a week since 2005 and was determined to eventually receive legal permission to be on the road.
She said: "I wanted to get a driver's licence so I could take my grandchildren to the zoo."
Driving instructor Park Su-yeon said: "When she finally got her licence, we all went out cheering and hugged her, giving her flowers."
He added that his long-standing pupil would not be a danger as it was the written part of the test she had failed so many times.
