An Indian woman has nurtured a calf by breastfeeding her.

The baby cow was orphaned when she was just three days old, leaving her without milk so Chouthi Bai, a villager from Kilchu, India, decided to take it upon herself to breastfeed the calf with her own milk.

She was so young when the cow died. For me there is no difference between a calf and an infant.

The 46-day-old cow - which is considered to be a sacred animal in the Hindu faith - is fed three to four times per day and now follows Chouthi wherever she goes.
