A US city council member is seeking $500,000 after a mayor struck her with a stress ball.
''I lobbed it, I didn't throw it. It was an errant little toss and it hit the side of her face, her temple.''
Jeanne Harris has filed an insurance claim for damages from the city of Ridgefield explaining their mayor Ron Onslow's throw caused her left retina to become loose and led to the potential loss of sight in her eye.
The incident occurring during a city council meeting in which government officials were given foam balls with a globe printed on them, and when Ron attempted to tag one of his colleagues he accidentally missed and hit Jeanne.
He is quoted by The Columbian as saying: ''I lobbed it, I didn't throw it. It was an errant little toss and it hit the side of her face, her temple.''
