A man has flown across the Grand Canyon wearing a jet pack.
Eric Scott, 45, covered the 1,500ft distance in just 21 seconds on Monday (24.11.08), flying at speeds of up to 75mph.
I can't say enough about how good it is to be standing on terra firma. Concrete never felt so good.
The brave stuntman strapped on the hydrogen peroxide-powered jet pack before soaring over the 1,100ft deep Royal Gorge - without a parachute.
Speaking after the stunt, Scott said: "I can't say enough about how good it is to be standing on terra firma. Concrete never felt so good."
The pack - designed by Jet Pack International, who Scott works for - is the latest design from the company and can only stay airborne for 30 seconds.
