A US city has banned skateboarders from going faster than 25mph.

Los Angeles city councillors are attempting to stop skateboarders travelling at high speeds, a fad known as bombing, in between vehicles and they now have to abide by the same laws as cyclists.
Councillor Joe Buscaino initiated the proposal after two skateboarders died in the past year, and he is hoping police will be given the power to confiscate their mode of transport.
He told the Los Angeles Times: ''The parents can go to the police station and recover the skateboard.''
