Laila Morse may have to return to her role as 'Big Mo' Harris in 'EastEnders' in a sling after tearing her shoulder tendon during 'Dancing On Ice' rehearsals.

Laila Morse may have to return to 'EastEnders' in a sling after tearing her shoulder tendon during 'Dancing On Ice' rehearsals.

The actress - who plays 'Big Mo' Harris in the BBC One soap - admitted she was thrilled to have been axed from the ITV1 skating contest on Sunday (15.01.12) because she was in so much pain from the injury.

I can just go back to 'EastEnders' and pretend I have been hit by a bus or something. I have had an accident on holiday or something with Fat Elvis. They can come up with something.

However, she has warned 'EastEnders' bosses that they may have to write the ailment into her storylines and pretend her burly alter-ego has been "hit by a bus".

She said: "I am not disappointed, I am quite pleased I am out. It was a relief. It would have been quite difficult to do another week because you need your arms. The judges want to see some action. The pain is like a toothache that doesn't stop. I have had it for nearly ten weeks now.

Laila - who has been warned her injury could take up to 12 weeks to heal - explained while she is looking forward to returning to Albert Square, she is keen to branch out and host her own 'Jeremy Kyle'-style talk show.

She added in an interview with The Sun newspaper: "I would like to be like Jeremy Kyle. If there was two ugly people I'd say, 'Well, you suit each other 'cos you are both ugly' - that sort of thing. It would have to be after the watershed. I would call it 'Late Night With Laila'.

"They would come on and I'd say, 'Look at you, your shoes need cleaning, your teeth are like a horrible pair of railings'. But there wouldn't be fighting. I like making people laugh."
