A US man was blown out of his seat when lightening struck his home.
Roy Beverley was filling out a lottery ticket at his house in the Gold Coast - where he had lived for 35 years - when it was unexpectedly struck by lightening and burst into flames.
The force of the strike caused his windows to blow out, the ceiling of the lounge and kitchen fell through and the front of the building collapsed.
Fire crews pilled him free from the wreck and put out a small fire.
The family - also including his mother Joan and sister Sacha, who were inside with him - are in shock and were treated for cuts and grazes.
