No-Sex city

Two towns in Israel definitely do not want sex in their city.

'Sex and the City: the movie' is due to open in cinemas, but two highly orthodox Jewish settlements - Jerusalem and Petah Tikva - will not advertise the film on billboards.

Communities in both cities find the word 'sex' too offensive to their beliefs to be considered.

The film's distributors in Israel, Maximedia, refuse to publish billboards without the word on it.

Meir Shamir, from Maximedia said: "They asked us not to advertise the word so as not to offend the religious public. We have been cooperating with them for many years and we did not want to fight with them over the word 'sex'."

Other Israeli cities will carry the billboards uncensored.
