Avie Woodbury from Christchurch allegedly trapped the spirits of an old man and a little girl - who lived in her house during the 1920s - inside glasses during an exorcism.

The auction, which attracted more than 214,000 page views before the winning bid was made, also sparked outrage within some communities who rubbished her claims.

I have two spirits in bottles at home. I think they are called Jim Beam and the other is Johnny Walker.

One angry fan posted on the auction site: "I have two spirits in bottles at home. I think they are called Jim Beam and the other is Johnny Walker."

Since the exorcism at the property Avie claims there has been no further spooky activity in the house.
