A British bachelor hid in his garden shed for a year after running up almost $16,000 in debts.
Steve Morris, from Dorset in South West England, feared debt collectors would repossess his home after his business failed so moved into his garden storage unit - installing a camp-bed, a TV and a microwave and sleeping underneath a worktop - in a bid to make creditors think he no longer lived there.
Despite enlisting the help of his neighbour Carmel Dean - who provided hot dinners for Steve on a regular basis - the truth was finally revealed when an eviction notice was served on his $270,000 house.
Mr. Morris has now moved back into his home and has started paying off his outstanding debts.
