Stab 'attack'

A US man stabbed himself to have a day off work.

Aaron Siebers, 29, told his employers at a Denver video store that he had been attacked by three skinhead or Hispanic men dressed in black.

Five separate police agencies headed for the scene of the 'assault', complete with police dog units.

However, after repeated police questioning, Siebers eventually admitted his wounds - a deep cut to his leg and other superficial cuts to his body - were self-inflicted.

He was arrested on charges of false reporting and obstructing a police officer.
