''According to the letter my father had to give 28 days notice for moving or passing away
Sue Cann was ''shocked'' when she was told she had to fork out the sum as she failed to give 28 days notice about her dad Kenneth's passing.
It was detailed in the small print of the contract that the private care home required four weeks warning of his death, which Sue thinks is a ''ridiculous'' thing to ask for.
She is quoted by the Daily Telegraph newspaper as saying: ''When the letter came I was so shocked about it.
