Children at an Irish primary school have been told to bring in their own toilet roll.
Pupils at a St John's girls' school in Carrigaline have been asked to help the educational centre help cut costs and beat the recession by providing their own toilet tissue.
From time to time we will request your daughter to bring in a toilet roll to her class teacher
A letter to parents said: "From time to time we will request your daughter to bring in a toilet roll to her class teacher. These rolls will be specifically for your daughter's class and will be dispensed by the class teacher."
Headmistress Catherine O'Neill said the school needed to save money after its funding was significantly cut.
