A demonstrator has been arrested in the US for excessive use of a cowbell.

The officer understood they have a right to be out on the sidewalk and picket, but they can't block driveways or sidewalks and can't create excessive noise.

The 26-year-old man and the rest of his group were allegedly asked by an officer to keep the noise down while they were protesting but the man allegedly gave "more cowbell" and shook the item in the official's face, the North Western reports.

Oshkosh Police Department spokesman Joe Nichols said: "The rest of the protesters were told to keep the noise down and they did.
