Give the Man a Hand

Talk about taking the Bible literally: An Idaho man did just that.

The man saw what he believed to be the 'Mark of the beast' and cut off his hand. But he didn't stop there; he put it in the microwave.

He called 911, but by the time anyone showed up, it was basically cooked.

Details are still unfolding and it's not know whether or not the man has a history of mental illness.

A spokeswoman from the hospital told Fox news they would not say whether any attempts were made to reattach the hand.

He took a passage from the Book of Matthew to heart which says if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off. No word of it being his right hand
