EE brings Wifi to Glastonbury

The mobile phone and internet provider has turned to The Pyramid Stage, The Park Tower and the Arcadia Spider for inspiration for its WiFi hotspots.

Spencer McHugh, Director of Brand at EE, said: ''We are already tripling the capacity of our 4G network on site to keep up with the ever-increasing demand for data we see at big events, and the addition of these selfie-friendly hotspots will give everyone on site a chance to share their pictures and videos seamlessly.''

EE, the official technology and communications partner of Glastonbury Festival, has created its 4GEE hedgeliners with help from horticultural artists Agrumi, who sculpted them with moss and hand-decorated them with individually applied silk flowers, ribbons and LEDs.

The 4G WiFi hotspots are available from 10am until 10pm Thursday (23.06.16) to Sunday (26.06.16) and will be placed at popular locations around the site to allow visitors on any mobile network to simply log-on with the password provided.
