Luang Phor Pian died aged 92 in a hospital in Bangkok on November 16 - but when the popular monk's body was removed from a coffin, which had been kept at the temple where he served, his followers were surprised that he was still in such good condition.

And most shockingly of all, perhaps, it appeared as though Pian was still grinning from ear to ear.

Some of Pian's followers - who will continue to pray for him until he is finally laid to rest - say that his current appearance is proof that he has reached nirvana.
