The Real Madrid footballer already has a museum, perfume, underwear line, film and hotel in his name but now Madeira Internation Airport - who was born in the autonomous region of Portugal - have decided to change its title to his moniker.
After hearing that the airport had paid tribute to him, the sporting legend took to his Twitter account to thank them.
He said: ''thanks Madeira (sic).''
A wax model of the sportsman features in his own museum in the Archipelago and also a hotel in his hometown of Funchal.
