Crying toddler evicted from doctor's surgery

''I felt so humiliated, it was awful. The receptionist said, 'You're making too much noise.' I couldn't believe it and asked if she was joking, but she said no.''

A mother was told to remove her child from a doctor's waiting room for crying ''too loudly''.

Donna Galliott, 26, was ordered to wait on the side of the road outside of the St Clement's Surgery in Winchester, southeast England after booking an emergency appointment for her 16-month-old daughter Lily, who was suffering from a high temperature and blisters on the roof of her mouth.

Miss Galliott told the Daily Mail newspaper: ''I felt so humiliated, it was awful. The receptionist said, 'You're making too much noise.' I couldn't believe it and asked if she was joking, but she said no.''

The young mother contacted the surgery after noticing the blisters on Lily's mouth and was told to bring her daughter ''straight in'', but they were forced to wait for more than 20 minutes past their time slot before being evicted and she then decided to look for treatment elsewhere.
