Exploding wine recalled

Bottles of exploding wine have been recalled by Asda.

''As a precaution Asda is recalling one particular batch due to a small number of bottles shattering.''

The supermarket has warned customers to returned their yellow label Prosecco Spumante Extra Dry following reports of them bursting, showering drinkers with shards of glass and cork.

According to Mirror.co.uk, two customers have recorded cases of exploding bottles so far, although employees have also noticed the fizz flying off the shelves for no reason.

The store said: ''It's a small percentage of bottles that are affected but at this stage we don't know what has caused the problem.
