A family has filed a law suit against the previous owners of their house for selling them a haunted property.

Derek and Maria Broaddus bought their dream house from a New Jersey family, but have subsequently been inundated with scary messages from someone going by the name of The Watcher, the New York Post newspaper reports.
One of the messages reads: ''I am pleased to know your names now, and the name of the young blood you have brought to me.''
The couple have now filed a law suit on the basis that they were sold the property without being made aware of the spine-chilling situation.
