A farmer in China has been spotted marching hundreds of ducks across a 70mph motorway because he didn't want to take the long route back to his field.
A farmer in China has been spotted marching hundreds of ducks across a motorway.
Xu Ling thought it would be a good idea to herd his rabble of birds across the 70mph road in Changde, Hunan, to his land where they had been feeding because he didn't want to take the long route back to his field.
He explained: ''I know I shouldn't do it and that the police will fine me if they see me, but I have more than 200 birds and you need a wide road to herd them all along at the same time.
''The only other way home is through lots of small alleys and you lose too many birds like that.
