A British man has received a 16-week suspended sentence after stealing a policewoman's outfit from a patrol car to gain entry to a sold-out music festival.
A British man stole a policewoman's uniform to sneak into a festival.
Daniel Tredinnick took the outfit from a police car and gained entry to the sold-out event - where he chatted to other officers and even helped to find a missing woman - because he desperately wanted to see his favourite band Kasabian, the Daily Telegraph newspaper reports.
He received a 16-week suspended sentence after pleading guilty to impersonating an officer and stealing a police uniform.
Daniel was found out after two-and-a-half hours by a security guard who demanded to see his identification after realising he did not have a police tie or hat on.
Keith Verrinder, defending Daniel in court, said: "He felt it was childish and quite ridiculous but it seemed like a good idea at the time."
