Gang grew drugs in mental hospital
A gang have set-up a cannabis factory in a mental hospital.
''South Wales Police can confirm a cannabis factory of around 30 plants was discovered within the grounds of Whitchurch Hospital in Cardiff.''
Police are now hunting for the group who were growing thirty illegal plants in a disused ward of Whitchurch Hospital, Cardiff, Wales, after they came across the stash - worth an estimated £32,000 - during a search for a missing person.
The shocked detectives also found ultraviolet lights and air ventilators hooked up to the hospitals electricity supply, reports The Mirror newspaper.
A police spokesman said: ''South Wales Police can confirm a cannabis factory of around 30 plants was discovered within the grounds of Whitchurch Hospital in Cardiff.''
Hospital workers are now helping the police with their investigation.
