A 99-year-old woman was mistakenly sent a letter informing her she was pregnant.
Doris Ayling - who already has three children, all of whom are pensioners themselves - received a letter from Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust telling her that she was set to welcome another child.
She told The Sun newspaper: '''I'm almost 100, so how can I be expecting?
''I have three children and 20 grandchildren - but I haven't been pregnant for 70 years.''
Her son Brian, 76, was also amused by the administrative error.
He said: ''It's very amusing. She's got enjoyment out of it and everyone had a good laugh. It's just one of those things.''
