Yvonne Borg doesn't think the covers - which retail at $104 each - would be ''particularly pleasant'' to sleep underneath, and she believes the marketing exploits homeless people.
But department store spokesman Jorgen Eriksson has hit back at the remarks, claiming the purpose of the bedding is to ''show awareness'' rather than be exploitative.
He told The Local newspaper: ''One buys it to show awareness.''
