Lamb chop sent into space

A lamb chop has been sent to space.

''It was a really emotional time when we saw the footage - it was the equivalent of seeing my baby born.''

The curried meat was strapped to a GoPro camera and launched on a helium weather balloon in June and has now returned to earth after capturing over 100 minutes of footage.

The lamb chop was cooked by Indian restaurant Tayyabs for the stunt in east London organised by artist Nick Hearne to promote a new book.

Nick told The Sun newspaper: ''I was just amazed that four idiots could send a lamb chop to space and get it back and get the footage.

''This for us was like our version of landing a probe on a meteor.
