Loch Ness monster spotted on mobile phone map

The Loch Ness monster has been spotted using an Iphone.

''It was by accident I came across it. I could see something big under the water and I saved it to my phone. My first thought was that it was the monster.''

Amateur hunters Peter Thain and Andy Dixon captured separate images of the mythical creature on their smart phones while searching on a satellite map app over Loch Ness in Scotland.

The images - which appear to show the creature swimming beneath the surface of the Loch - are the first alleged sightings of the legendary monster in over 18 months.

According the Daily Express newspaper, Andy, from County Durham, in North-Eastern England said: ''It was by accident I came across it. I could see something big under the water and I saved it to my phone. My first thought was that it was the monster.''

The Official Loch Ness Monster Fan Club's President, Gary Campbell added: ''It cannot be a boat as there is no hull. It's just below the surface - the size would make it likely to be Nessie.''
