Man arrested for selling pop tart as cocaine

A man has been arrested for allegedly attempting to sell a crushed biscuit as cocaine.

Cameron Mitchell has been accused of attempting to sell a crushed Pop Tart to an undercover police officer as cocaine and is now facing two counts of fraud.

The 30-year-old delivery driver from North Carolina, in the Southeastern United States, is said to have attempted the fake drug deal while doing his day job.

After agreeing to sell the drug to the undercover cop for £12 he is said to have returned to his van and crushed the sugary biscuit before trying to pass it off as crack cocaine.

The police found no traces of cocaine during tests and arrested and charged him with selling or delivering a counterfeit controlled substance and creating a counterfeit controlled substance.
