A man has eaten 33 cloves of garlic in 60 seconds.
David Greenman ate over thirty raw cloves of Iberian garlic in just a minute beating the runner-up by two cloves to become winner of the World Garlic Eating Competition.
However, the bad-breathed competitor missed out on equalling the world record by just one clove.
Mark Botwright - who organised the event that took place in Dorset, in South West England - told the Daily Mirror newspaper: ''It was only running out of time that stopped him. He came to the contest alone, which is just as well.''
