A man ate a six-year-old portion of McDonald's chips.

A consumer from Iceland bought a McDonald's meal in 2009 and was amazed to see that it hadn't gone mouldy six months later.
More recently, it's been on display in a museum and was then displayed in a bar at a Reykjavik hotel, where one customer ate half of the six-year-old chips.
Hjortur Smarason, the original owner of the meal, said: ''I don't reckon I'm going to ask for compensation though, he probably deserves a medal, and I hope he had plenty to drink afterwards.''
