A man has been charged after he was found to have over 50 turtles strapped to his body.
The Canadian man was searched by border agents at the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel, who were shell-shocked to make the discovery, with the reptiles attached to his body and concealed between his legs.
An arrest was made after a tip-off from an officer at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, who was concerned about a suspiciously large box which had been delivered to the man, named as Kai Xu.
The Detroit News reported that he has been charged with smuggling, illegal trading and exporting.
