Gary McKenzie has denied all claims that he deliberately punched and passed wind in a boy's face as well as trying to suffocate another child.

The boy said: ''He pumped. He was right next to me and bending down, he was wearing shorts, his shorts were right next to my face.

''I said ''why did you do that?'' and he said he did it because he wanted to be nasty.''

Gary insisted to police that the fart wasn't intentional and it happened while he was walking up stairs next to the boy.

He's also facing charges that he held a pillow on another child's face in which he insists was also through playing.

Mr Abrahams told the Metro newspaper: ''He (Gary) said this had been funny but denied the incident described.

'''Of the incident involving the pillow he said he was just playing. We say this was a cruel act and that he was not just playing.''

The trial continues.
