Man rescued from department store walls

A man has been rescued from the walls of a department store.

''He has not been arrested but we are investigating him for an attempted burglary.''

Employees at store in Colorado, in the central United States, were left befuddled when they heard screaming but couldn't figure out where it was coming from until the man found a small hole from which his screaming could be better heard.

The trapped individual - named Paul Felyk - was eventually rescued by Longmont Police Department, who revealed he could have been stuck there for several days after falling through an air vent.

Sergeant Matt Cage said Mr.Felyk will likely be facing charges when he recovers and is released from hospital.

He told the Longmont Times Call newspaper: ''He has not been arrested but we are investigating him for an attempted burglary.''
