Thief wanted Greggs

Charlie Gunning, 19, failed to attend court in March after he was charged with theft and he was subsequently a wanted man among the police.

However, Charlie decided to turn himself in at Trowbridge police station in Wiltshire because he wanted a Greggs.

A spokesman for Trowbridge police explained: ''When asked why he chose to hand himself in now after two months of being 'on the run'.

''He replied: 'I just want to be able to walk through town and get a Greggs without looking over my shoulder all the time'.''
