Man wins £1m for crisp flavour idea

''I was up against five other delicious and imaginative flavours so I really didn't expect to win. Thank you so much to everyone who voted for me, I'm truly over the moon.''

A man has won £1million for creating a new flavour of crisps.

Paul, 40, from Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex, took home the huge sum after he entered his pulled pork in a sticky BBQ sauce flavour idea in the Walkers Do Us A Flavour competition.

The contest - which asked the public to think-up a new taste for the savoury snack - had over 1.2 million entrants.

Paul's idea beat off other flavours including chip shop chicken curry, cheesy beans on toast, hot dog with tomato ketchup, sizzling steak fajita and ranch raccoon to be crowned the overall winner, reports Express.co.uk.
