Pet frog eats engagement ring
A woman's engagement ring was eaten by her pet frog.
Roman Livane from Yekaterinburg, Russia and his girlfriend, Kristina, were cleaning out the amphibian's cage when she accidentally dropped her ring on the floor and the frog, named Croak, swallowed it, reports the Daily Star newspaper.
The couple quickly rushed Croak to the local vet, who was able to recover the ring with a special hook.
Veterinarian Julia Malyshev said: ''I must admit I was sceptical about whether or not it was some sort of a practical joke but when I x-rayed it, sure enough there was the engagement ring complete with stone in the frog's stomach.''
