A man arrested on suspicion of domestic abuse has denied the claims and told police that a ghost did it.

Michael West claims the ghoul tried to punch and strangle his wife Rebecca, who alleges it was him.

But since West made the claim he has been mocked in a number of media outlets.

Filmmaker Ron James told the Huffington Post: ''Reports of ghosts attacking people or making them do things are extremely rare and there is no solid evidence to support them.

''You won't find anyone who will vouch for them.''
