Restaurant criticised for 'heart-attack' burger

''To me, this is simply ludicrous and irresponsible. I am no killjoy but why is this sort of food available? This burger is literally a heart attack on a plate.''

A restaurant has been criticised for serving a ''heart-attack'' inducing burger.

The Hungry Horse pub chain in the United Kingdom serves a 2,000 calorie 'Double Donut' burger which contains two beef patties, lashings of cheese, four bacon rashers and BBQ sauce all served between two glazed donuts.

However, the company has been slammed by health experts for being ''irresponsible'' as many of the nutritional values double those of the recommended limits for both men and women.

Nutritionist Mel Wakeman from Birmingham City University told the Daily Star newspaper:''To me, this is simply ludicrous and irresponsible. I am no killjoy but why is this sort of food available? This burger is literally a heart attack on a plate.''
