Robbie Williams has inadvertently boosted the career of one of his impersonators.
''It has been bonkers and like a roller coaster ever since. I was running the other week when a car made an emergency stop and a girl was screaming 'Robbie I love you' out of the window.''
The 40-year-old shared a snap of himself online posing in front of the impersonator's poster in his hometown of Stoke-on-Trent which has led to a surge in interest for the tribute act, Dan Budd.
The part-time security alarm fitter claims to have received an influx of gig bookings since Robbie published the image to his 4.6million Facebook fans.
The 24-year-old told The Sun newspaper: ''It has been absolutely ridiculous. I was on holiday when Robbie re-tweeted the picture. I managed to find some wifi on the beach and Facebook told me I had 95 notifications from my friends.
